How do you balance being in the family business with finding your own voice?

It's not uncommon for brands to grow and realize they want to create a new arm of their business. Redland Brothers decided to develop a retail side of their wholesale plant nursery - that's where Odd Frond was born. This was a new member of the family that needed to find it's own place without drifting too far from home.

Odd Frond is the retail plant store that focuses on building connections with the plant lovers of the world. The brand needed to feel familiar but have its own personality separate from its parent company. We played off the color story of Redland and paired that with fun, off-beat design elements to bring that neighborhood plant store feeling.
